The first assignment in my cultural competence courses are for students to take the Harvard Implicit Bias Test. This activity is a spring board to the rest of the course.

Use of varied rubrics so that students understand expectations for assignments.

After each graded assignment, an announcement is posted with assignment statistics so students can compare their performance to that of their peers.

Masters' Course Final Project
Students are expected to demonstrate mastery on one/two TEA Competencies. In this assignment students had to complete gap analysis, develop PD Plan and literary portrait.
